Hills Garden Competition
Written by Darryn Capes-Davis on 16 August 2019
The Hills Garden Competition is on again as part of The Hills Shire Orange Blossom Festival. The competition has a long history in the Hills Shire, with the first competition being run in 1959 as the brainchild of former Hills Shire Councillor Eric Mobbs. It became the forerunner of the Orange Blossom Festival, so has a significant place in the cultural history of The Hills.
For the past five years, the Garden Competition has been run by Hills-Kellyville Rotary Club with the support of Council, and the gardens are judged by professional and experienced horticulturists and landscapers.
Entry forms are available on the Sydney Hills Garden Competition website: www.hillsgardencomp.org.au.
