ALIVE 90.5 FAREWELL ADAM STAPLES

Written by on 21 February 2019

Today we farewell one of our youngest and most committed presenters, Adam Staples.

Adam joined Alive 90.5 when we were still called 2CCRFM. He started out as a sports presenter and quickly fell in love with the industry. Adam also began by assisting the station with various tasks at this time.

After falling in love with the industry, Adam Staples studied the Certificate III in Entertainment at TAFE NSW, delivered as a TVET Course. After completing the course, the programming committee decided to give Adam his own show, and from there he would go on to present the Thursday Breakfast program.

In 2018, Adam started studying the Advanced Diploma of Radio Essentials at the Australia Film Television & Radio School, closely following the likes of Tim Wong-See. Tim was one of Alive’s most famous presenters, and you can read more about him here. Here, Adam learnt useful presenting skills that makes him one of Alive’s best alumni.

Adam has contributed more to Alive 90.5 by panelling the Sunday Sports Roundup show communicating with presenters in the field, as well as becoming a Digital Content Producer on the station’s Digital Content Committee

Adam has left the station to continue his education and learn more about the radio industry at Charles Sturt University. This involves Adam moving to Bathurst for the year.

Adam will continue to support the station and occasionally present on the Sunday Sports Roundup program. He will also begin presenting shows on other community stations in both Sydney and Bathurst.

It is with great sadness we see another legend such as Adam leave our station; however, we wish him all the best and know that we’ll hear him on commercial radio soon.
