Alive 90.5FM launches Female Sports Volunteer of the Year competition

Written by on 27 April 2021

Community radio station Alive 90.5FM is partnering with Western Sydney University Business School to find the best female sports volunteers in Sydney.

Alive 90.5FM is looking for clubs to nominate a female volunteer from their organisation who does the hard yards off the field to ensure the players on the field can prosper.

It is important we recognise those females who are on boards, manage teams, put out the cones, run the canteen, referee, and coach to ensure their teams are successful each week.

Nominations are now open so if there is someone at your club who fits the bill – nominate them here: https://form.jotform.com/210627210956048

The major prize will be a once in a lifetime experience to commentate one of your club’s junior grand finals with the Alive 90.5FM sports team.

There will also be $200 Rebel Sport Vouchers awarded to:

  • Best Administrator
  • Best Referee
  • Best Coach

“Women’s sports participation in sport is always strong in the Hills and Sydney but is always important to celebrate those unsung heroes who help make that all possible,” Alive 90.5FM Sports Executive Producer Tony Salerno said.

“We are excited to find and learn about so many of our young volunteers who are so key to sport at a grassroots level.”

Entries close Wednesday June 30.

Submissions are now open. Nominate your favourite female Sports Volunteer now.
