Bassikly Grooving

Bassikly Grooving features a blend of Modern Contemporary Jazz, R&B, Latin, Soul, Funk and Fusion. Presenter, Larry Price, is a professional Bass player with over 40 years experience, and tries to make sure that each track played has a groovy Bass line, thus the name Bassikly Grooving.

If it doesn’t groove, it doesn’t get played – it’s as simple as that.

Larry is constantly adding new music to the show to keep it up to date and vibrant, but of course there are plenty of old favourites.

About Larry

Larry Price has been a member of Alive 90.5 since 1996, and has served on the board twice, holding positions of Technical Manager, Head of Training and Director of Music. He has had over 20 years experience as a broadcast professional in both radio and television, and as a lecturer in audio at AFTRS.

Larry is also a professional musician, playing Bass since 1970 and mostly doing sessions and club gigs. He is a music arranger and an honorary member of the Music Arrangers Guild of Australia (MAGA).  He completed the Jazz Studies Course at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in 1982.
