Patsy Cline (1932 – 1963) was part of the early ’60’s Nashville sound and successfully “crossed over” to pop music.
Tragically, she died at the age of 30 in a multiple fatality plane crash as her career was just beginning to peak.
She was best known for her rich tone, emotionally expressive and bold contralto voice. She also fought hard and paved the way for a better deal for female performers in her genre.
