Founded in 1958, the Bee Gees had 2 distinct periods of great success: as a rock act in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s – and also as major performers in the disco music era of the late 1970’s. The Bee Gees wrote all of their own hits and wrote and produced many major hits for other artists too.
