New Chair for Alive 90.5 FM

Cumberland Community Radio Inc. (Alive90.5 FM) announces that Mrs Gillian Schrickker resigned as Chair of the Association and Board Member over the weekend.
At the Board meeting on Tuesday, Jerome Vagg was confirmed as Chair, with Darryn Capes-Davis being voted in unanimously as Deputy Chair.
Jerome Vagg commented: “It is with great regret that the Board has accepted the resignation of Mrs Gillian Schrickker as Chair and Board Member of Alive90.5 FM, which she has served as Chair for over 5 years. Gillian shepherded Alive90.5 FM through very difficult times, bringing stability and certainty to the Station by consistently attracting Sponsors and nurturing on-air talent. Gillian was always a positive and caring supporter of the Station, Presenters and me personally. I cannot thank Gillian enough, and wish her well in her well”.
Darryn Capes-Davis also commented: “Gillian and I worked hard over the last two years to improve the quality and reliability of our radio broadcast. We are sounding better than ever.”
Gillian has resigned so that she can spend more time with her family, particularly helping grow her family business. She said; “I have loved my time with Alive90.5 FM, and I feel the time is right for me to move on. I wish Jerome and the Board, Presenters and Members every success in their future endeavours.”
