The Alive 90.5 FM Sports team have won 1st Place in Category 2 of the 2020 Parramatta Leagues Club Community Awards.

The team won the award for their My Local Sportsbag project which has been promoting sporting clubs and associations while they make a donation of sporting goods to charity.

What started as a basic idea by Executive Producer Tony Salerno, the project has been given wonderful support by over 20 clubs and associations so far that have visited Alive 90.5 FM and made generous donations. The momentum continues to grow as the project develops.

In June, the project secured its first charity partner with Ronald McDonald House Charities coming on board for us to support them with this initiative.

The 1st prize of $5,000 will be utilised towards a major event and donation to Ronald McDonald House. Plus some fund funds will go to the show and station for equipment.

Congratulations to Tony, Dave and the whole Sports Team for this wonderful award.

Alive 90.5 FM would also sincerely like to thank Parramatta Leagues Club for this wonderful award and the recognition of a great contribution to the community.
