My beautiful niece was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour when she was 2.

DIPG – the deadliest form of cancer.

Josephine’s father, my biggest brother, by chance is a bloody good Dr in Cancer research. What are the chances.
Together with his beautiful wife, (a very well regarded GP) and during the most trying time of their life, they established a charity RUNDIPG.
The aim of RUNDIPG is to raise money and awareness for DIPG. Matt and his team of researchers are dedicating their lives to improve the treatment options and life expectancy of the beautiful little boys and girls who are so unlucky to develop this cancer.

Our Josie, fought. She fought so hard.

22 months to be exact.

The day before Josie died, I held her hand and promised her i would run a marathon for her. To raise money for her Daddy to continue the fight and to raise awareness into DIPG.

We all miss you Josie.

Josie’s story touched three inspiring women from my local gym and every Friday we meet to run, to train for our marathon. Most Friday’s we start running at 4.30am to get the KMS in before school drop off.

Alas, due to C19 the Newcastle Marathon was cancelled. BUT we wont let that break my promise to Josie.

On the 12th September, we are going to pump out 42.2km starting and finishing in Dee Why.

If you can spare a dollar to support us please donate and share ! If you can’t please share anyway. The more people we have talking about this horrible disease and the amazing things RUNDIPG are doing the better.

Thank you x
