“What are your needs? What matters to you?” are questions becoming more commonly asked in the healthcare setting.

It’s part of a global recognition around social prescribing – a holistic approach aiming to help people experiencing loneliness, social isolation and financial stress by connecting them with non-medical services and trusted community supports.  

It comes as loneliness is rapidly rising, and experts now increasingly view social health as essential as physical and mental wellness.
