Smooth Jazz with a twist
Tagged as: Smooth Jazz
Sunday Brunch all started with Ian Maurice, followed by Nina Harris and Debra Dicembre. Now Paul Savrimoutou is behind the microphone.
Over the years, the music changed a little, but the emphasis was always on good, relaxing music.
Paul now brings his own style to the program, featuring smooth jazz music with a bit of a twist. From 9am to 11 he plays the music of George Benson, Bob James, Lee Ritenour, Marcus Miller, Earth Wind and Fire, Quincy Jones, Grover Washington Jr, Jeff Lorber…the list goes on!
Often, lovers of Sunday Brunch will stay tuned into hear Larry Price’s Bassikly Grooving program right after. Larry and Paul are great buddies with similar tastes in music, so every few months, they join forces for a five hour tag-team program, Extravaganza from 9am through to 2pm.
The two programs along with two more presented by Graham Johnson, are a throwback to the station’s history. Before Alive 90.5 FM and 2CCR 90.5 FM before that, we were known as Smooth Jazz 90.5 – The Sound of Style.
