Tony Bennett is an American singer of traditional pop standards, show tunes ans jazz. He is also an accomplished painter whose works are on display in several institutions.

His career suffered a downturn during the height of the rock music era. However, he successfully re-emerged in the late 1980’s and 1990’s, putting out gold record albums and expanding his audience to the MTV generation whilst keeping his musical style intact.

He has sold well over 50 million records worldwide.
