James Last Tribute

James Last was a German composer and big band leader who made “happy music” his trademark.

He’s sold an estimated 200 million albums worldwide.

His trademark sound employed big band arrangements of well known tunes with a jaunty upbeat dance rhythm.

In February 2015, after almost 50 years of touring, he announced that due to ill health, he would complete a farewell tour – which ended in June 2015.

Within 3 months of completing that tour, he passed away – leaving us with many happy musical memories.
