Vickie Simos is a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist – BA (Psych) G.dip.C&PsyMCounselling
She has a Fourth Degree Black Belt – Doce Pares Eskrima and a
Second Degree Black Belt – Anjukanpo Karate,
Silver Medallist World Stick fighting Championships
Pan Pacific Gold Medallist for Stick Fighting
She is also a qualified Personal Trainer and has worked with all ages, but predominantly works with children/teenagers for over a decade, dealing with social, behaviour and emotional issues, plus has some experience with depression and anxiety having suffered herself.
Vickie is also a Martial Arts expert with over 20 years experience with two Black Belts in two different Martial Arts – Arjukanpo Karate and Doce Pares Eskrima.
She runs her own business – Thelo Active Therapy, which uses Martial Arts as a combination or alternative to mainstream therapy.
Vickie has helped many using her holistic approach of combining Martial Arts with mainstream therapy with some positive results. And her philosophy is to be the best version of yourself you can be!
Vickie is also a published author of The Boxer Within, released in Nov 2017 – an autobiography based on her experiences with depression and anxiety and how Martial Arts helped her overcome those mental issues.
She has also worked in both the private and public sector, which has provided her with many years of experience in multiple industries.
