Storytelling helps to create powerful awareness. Because STIMGA, can turn us all to DUST.

There is something about, global LOVE delivered through storytelling. The POWER of lived experience. I have Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, diagnosed after a workplace sexual assault that occurred in mid-2015. I had all my traumas resurface and I guess describing this would be Pandora’s BOX was now opened.

I had the pleasure of support in late 2018 from an amazing social worker and was guided to try my hand at poetry through a website that empowers victims of sexual assault and or child abuse.
“We will not go QUIETY”. At first, I felt a PTSD rage response, frustrated I cannot write poetry.

Something happened my authentic hidden self-found light. I could write poetry and I was rather good at it. Through each new poem, I was releasing stored emotional trauma. Through a safe environment, pen to paper – letting it all go through poetic words.   Poetry became the medicine that was giving me back my needed quality of life, now living again.

Trauma to Transformation Poet & Writer, PTSD, C-PTSD & Anxiety Advocate & Anger Management Expert.
