Interview with Bobby Hale
Bobby’s life of adventure began when he was awarded an expedition with a scientific foundation to the Arctic at age 15. After a gap year in Africa and a summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, Bobby returned to Australia and began working for Flight Centre, where he won a Kokoda trek as a reward for his sales performance.Impressed with his ability and attitude, he was invited the following year to support car crash victim Chloe Palmer-Simpson as she crossed Kokoda, an undertaking that featured on ABC’s Australian Story.
He joined the tour company as a trekking guide, leading clients on Kokoda, up to Everest Base Camp and multiple high altitude mountain summits.
After nearly 10 years working in the travel industry, Bobby decided to start his own travel company. Hale Travel & Events was born out of Bobby’s passion for helping people with their travel needs.
Seeing the world is the greatest education anyone can get and Bobby feels privileged being able to facilitate that. Having travelled extensively, he prides himself on giving great recommendations to ensure people have the holiday of their dreams!
