Cilla Black OBE was an English singer, actress, entertainer and media personality who came to light during the early ’60’s in what was to become The Beatles era. She was a cloakroom attendant at Liverpool’s famous Cavern Club at that time.
Her impromptu performances impressed The Beatles and they ultimately introduced her to their manager, Brian Epstein.
She had a successful recording career in the 60’s and early 70’s and went on to become a prominent TV presenter in the 80’s and 90’s.
She sadly passed away at her Spanish holiday home in August of 2015 but left a wonderful legacy of music that is still played today.
