Illuminate the Hills at Christmas launches online virtual exhibition

Written by on 14 December 2020

The Hills Shire Council’s Christmas light show, Illuminate the Hills at Christmas, can now be viewed online.

The virtual experience allows residents the opportunity to see the Christmas light installations from the comforts of their very own home.

“This is a fantastic option for those who may not be in the position to see the Christmas light installations at Arthur Whitling Park in Castle Hill [near the Metro Station],” Mayor of The Hills Shire, Dr Michelle Byrne said.

“The online exhibition allows viewers to experience the fun and joy of the light installation from almost any location with access via the internet and a device, including a phone, tablet or computer.

“Christmas is a wonderful time of year, and this is one way Council is helping to spread some festive cheer in what has already been a difficult year,” Mayor Byrne added.

Audiences will be taken on an exciting journey through a light-filled Christmas tree forest filled with swirly candy cane shrubs, before seeing the bubble-inspired Joy Tree and the larger-than-life polar bears.

You can view the online exhibition via The Hills Focus website, www.hillsfocus.com.au.
