Join Us: Sports Roundup 10th Anniversary

Join the Sunday Sports Roundup crew as we celebrate 10 years of the show. Joining the current award winning team will be past team members, Alive 90.5 board members, Alive 90.5 presenters and of course your fellow listeners.

The event begins at 12pm with a BBQ, allowing you to mingle and meet the Alive 90.5 Sports Team. Guests will also have the chance to tour the station and see inside the studio where Sunday Sports Roundup airs.

Following the BBQ, the Sunday Sports Roundup team will air the 10th Anniversary edition of the show live on veranda outside of the station. Guests will be seated as a part of a live audience. Sunday Sports Roundup airs from 2pm to 5pm.

The 10th Anniversary show will be a tribute to presenters past and present who will be joining us on location. There will be an ‘originals’ panel, featuring those who were on the first ever show back on February 4, 2009, including the original host Gordon Allen who will be travelling down from Caboolture, QLD to reunite with the team.

The show segments on the day will see old and new presenters combine on different sports panels (cricket, AFL, Rugby League etc). We will cut a cake live on air in the final hour of the program.

Everyone is invited to attend – it is a great event for the family. Official invites for guests of honour will be sent out on the 15th January.

We will be selling raffle tickets for $2 each for guests to win prizes donated for the day. The money raised will go to the funding of new headsets and outside broadcast gear.

The event comes off the back of Sunday Sports Round-Up winning the Troy Garner Excellence in Sports Programming at the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA) Awards in 2018
